K2 is the second highest mountain in the world (8,611m) after Everest located on the Pakistan-Chinese border by the Karakoram Range. It is considered to be an extremely difficult mountain to climb due to its high altitude, the variety of routes as well as the challenging weather of the Karakoram Range. K2 has several camps for the climbers to rest with the main one being the Base Camp. The trek to the camp is said to be one of the most beautiful treks despite its level of difficulty.
